JulyDragon Boating Opportunity! Free Dragon Boating Race - Sunday, July 11.

Sunday, July 11. If you are interested in joining us you do not need
any paddling experience or have to know how to swim. We will provide
all equipment and teach you everything you need to know. We also
welcome the experienced paddlers too! We are waiving the race fees for
anyone who can come and help. We just ask that you come at 7AM sharp
and stay until 4PM. There will be food and drinks provided. Just dress
in layers, flip-flops or Tevas as footwear and bring a chair or blanket
to sit on. You will race 3 times over the day and the distance of the
race is just 250 meters (or less than 2.5 mins each). If you cannot
make it pls pass this email along to the friends that you think would
be interested. It is a great way to meet new people and have fun in the

Directions: Bounty Drive off of Foster City Blvd. Off the 92 take the Foster
City Blvd exit. Left off the fwy and right onto Foster City Blvd. Right
on Bounty and immediate left to the water.
- Bring a bottled water, wear sunglasses (and sunblock) and dress in
footwear you don't mind getting wet. No swimming or paddling experience
needed

Breast Cancer Survivors Peer Counseling Training
When: February 27, 2010 | Time: 10:00AM-3.00PM
Where: Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay.
Recruiting 3 to 5 Asian American and/or 3 to 5 African American women breast cancer survivors who would be willing to serve as a peer counselor for a year. We are looking for women who want to help others. They need to be 4 years post-treatment. They would be responsible for keeping in contact by phone or in person with a newly diagnosed women for 8 weeks. We will work on training these women to take on this role for a year. We expect 1-2 women they will peer counsel for the year.
